Generic or Name Golf Equipment?
When it comes to golfing, are you generic or name-brand? That is, do you prefer to use generic clubs, balls, etc., or do you prefer to stay with a tried-and-true name brand?
There's not necessarily one right answer, other than what's right for you. But let's take a look at this debate. And the question to keep in mind is this: do you get more value from generic or from a brand?
It's Not Just a Golf Issue
These days, you can find nearly anything in a generic offering. From food to prescriptions to (yes) golfing equipment, the debate has gone on and on. Is generic just as good (or maybe even better) than a traditional brand name?
If you're new to golfing, if might not be the best idea to go out and buy hugely expensive golf clubs. If you're wanting a name brand, why not buy used? Golf can be an expensive sport, and getting the most for your dollar (especially in the beginning) is smart.
However, if you're hankering for brand new clubs, perhaps generic would be a good idea, if you're having to watch your dollars.
The fact of the matter is, when you start playing golf, you have to learn the whole game -- the swing, the putt, the stance, etc. So you'll have to concentrate on learning the basics before considering expensive new clubs.
Moving Up in Your Game
On the other hand, if you are an experienced golfer, you know that a good set of clubs is an undeniable asset to your game. And you know that the right golf ball can give your game extra precision. The trick is knowing what brand name suits you best.
and both make excellent clubs and accessories. You might also want to check out . Each has its own pros and cons, but all are excellent choices.
You can also find some that might fit the bill.
In reality, it's up to you as to whether you go generic or brand name. Pick the option that's right for you and your budget!
